The Rabbit Problem

Hop along to Fibonacci’s Field and follow Lonely and Chalk Rabbit through a calendar year as they try to handle different seasonal challenges each month, from the freezing cold of February to the wet of April and the heat of July, all while coping with their rapidly expanding brood.

Programme of Study

Year 4 curriculum

Pupils should be taught to:

  • solve problems involving multiplying and adding, including using the distributive law to multiply two digit numbers by one digit
  • add and subtract numbers with up to 4 digits
  • solve problems involving converting from hours to minutes, minutes to seconds, years to months, weeks to days

Non-statutory guidance Year 5:

  • recognise and describe linear sequences and find the term-to-term rule in words
