PSHE

Julie reflects on the importance of incorporating PSHE into all aspects of school life, with a conscious focus on promoting diversity. She discusses the challenges faced by children in the modern world and the importance of building a curriculum that allows children to explore personal journeys and respect different lifestyles and differences.

Julie reflects on the challenges that having a predominantly white community can present to diversity awareness and how she has developed her curriculum in response to this.

She shares how the curriculum is carefully considered from it’s central intent to the careful design of tasks to empower and shape both knowledge and personal development.
