The culture of reading isn’t built through displays or special events—it grows through the routines, habits and experiences pupils encounter every day. Explore how to establish reading as visible, protected and joyful from the first morning of term, and leave with one shared challenge to carry into your opening fortnight.

Before pupils return, see your school through the eyes of a reader. Complete a ‘Reading Readiness Walk’, celebrate what’s already in place and identify the small changes that will make the biggest difference before the first bell rings.
