The values, the vision, and why it matters

In this session, Abbie sets the foundation for your year with TTC – exploring the values and pedagogy that sit at the heart of this approach and reaffirms the why behind what we do. Abbie outlines TTC’s connections to the Curriculum Review priorities, and sets a clear, shared vision.

The session also includes workbook, to help shape the reading vision within your school and a toolkit to map out the year ahead. Both available with a subscription.

Reading with families: building habits and confidence

In this session, Charlotte Bunyan, Assistant Head and reading lead at Lingfield Primary School, shares practical ways to strengthen the relationship between home and school to support reading. Charlotte explores discovery bags, reading showcases, mystery readers, parent workshops and before and after school reading support.

She shows how clear expectations, high support and joyful routines can help families build children’s confidence, fluency and love of reading. A practical and inspiring example of how small, consistent actions can make a significant difference over time.

Developing literacy that lasts

Literacy is not an add-on. It is the engine that drives learning across the primary curriculum.

In this webinar, Mary and Abbie explore why reading aloud is a high-leverage practice that:

  • Strengthen pupils’ thinking, attention and imagination
  • Develops pupils’ vocabulary
  • Improves focus and self-regulation
